Auburn, NY (May 15, 2024) – The Schweinfurth Art Center’s exhibition galleries will temporarily close as of May 27, 2024, after “Expanded Vision: Two Centuries of Paintings from the Cayuga Museum Collection” and pop-up exhibit “Worth Mentioning” close, due to construction for the West End Arts Campus, a project of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) of the City of Auburn.

This free exhibition tour and curatorial talk will feature 'BYENVENI’ curator Yvena Despagne and four visual artists from the exhibition, paying homage to Haiti's legacy as the first Black independent republic.

Whiteface Uphill Bike Race now includes handcycle division

Wilmington, NY (May 14, 2024) - The Whiteface Region of Upstate New York is gearing up to host a number of race events. The Whiteface Mountain Uphill Bike and Foot races, the Wilmington Whiteface Mountain Bike Race, and the Wilmington Whiteface Whiskey Run all take place during the month of June.

Poets have been invited to participate in micro-residencies aboard ships in New York Harbor, where they have been inspired to write and create poetry while being surrounded by the city’s bustling waters. Now, these poets will gather on the deck of Wavertree for a group reading, sharing their creative works with the audience.
