Discover Schenectady Jay St KioskSchenectady, N.Y. (March 10, 2022) – Discover Schenectady announced today that it has deployed eight digital visitor kiosks throughout Schenectady County.

“Schenectady County has so many great attractions, events and businesses – there’s something for everyone,” said Schenectady County Legislator Cathy Gatta, President of Discover Schenectady’s Board of Directors. “These easy-to-use kiosks will help visitors and residents alike learn about all of our attractions.”  

Over the past few months, Discover Schenectady has built a partnership with HootBoard to create and deploy a network of touchscreen digital kiosks located throughout the county to engage visitors and residents, while promoting attractions, businesses, and special events.

Lake George, NY (March 11, 2022) - Orchestral and chamber music performances will be accompanied by the breathtaking views of Lake George and the Adirondack Mountains this summer during the Lake George Music Festival’s 11th annual season. The Festival will return to the historic Fort William Henry Carriage House with opening night as a lakeside performance in Shepard Park. Events begin August 10 and run through August 18.

Governor Kathy Hochul today joined Lincoln Center leadership to announce that the $550 million renovation of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts' new David Geffen Hall will be completed in October 2022, two years ahead of schedule. The hall is being reimagined from the inside out with expanded access to public space for the community, supported by a $6.5 million grant from Empire State Development. The project will transform the storied concert hall and home of the renowned New York Philharmonic into a world-class venue and destination that will further support New York City's post-pandemic economic recovery.

Learn how to spin yarn using fiber from laboratory llamas, who produce antibodies for our vaccines, while exploring emerging narratives in the contemporary biomedical landscape. Splan will introduce her installation in the Tang’s elevator Elevator Music 42: Laura Splan—Rhapsody for an Expanded Biotechnological Apparatus, which includes a sound piece and a rug made from the wool of laboratory llamas and alpacas.

Illuminati Hotties will open the show, which is presented by Artpark and Funtime. Lastly, Ziggy Marley will perform a special show billed as “A Live Tribute To His Father” in the Amphitheater on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 7:00PM with special guest Kazayah.
