A railhead is the beginning or the end of the line. For craft brewer Dave Woolever and his partner, Michael McCumiskey, the RailHead Brewing Company is the beginning of a great new adventure. Both young men grew up in Hornell, raised on stories about the railroad – Hornell had once been the primary maintenance facility for the entire Erie line – and about Hornell Brewing Company which had thrived, in one form or another, for over 55 years. Stop by for a tasting and discover for yourself why RailHead has been so popular with locals and tourists alike since it first opened its doors. Try a delicious brick-oven pizza – we might suggest the Margherita or Chicken & Arugula; sample tasty brews like the Saison, American Wheat, German-style Altbier, and the popular pub-style Oatmeal Stout; and enjoy the warm, friendly atmosphere of a brew pub with a hometown feel.
