Fall Dining in the City!

There’s plenty of hog to go around at Pig Island 2012, September 1 at Colonel’s Row on Governor’s Island. Twenty-five NYC chefs dish up their favorite pork creations and craft beers, NYS wines and cider. Enjoy cooking demos, a Veggie Pavilion, all-day live bands and free ferry rides.

The evening sky glows brighter aboard the Whisky On The Hudson tasting and dinner cruise, September 13. Cruise around Manhattan under the stars while savoring the world's finest whiskeys from Glenfiddich, Lagavulin, Glenlivet, Cragganmore, Highland Park and many others.

Forget the calories, you’ll burn them off at the 2012 NYC Pizza Run, September 15 in Tompkins Square Park. Complete a 2.25 mile run while stopping to eat three slices of pizza at checkpoints throughout the course. Open to all ages, this event redefines fast food.

Food on Foot Tours celebrates the largest buffet in the world—New York City—in themed food tours for baseball fans, sandwich gourmets, ethnic food lovers and ice cream addicts. Travel by foot and subway through the town’s neighborhoods and eateries. Eat The East Village on September 22 with stops at several favorite spots.

Just Food hosts its 5th annual Let Us Eat Local event on October 3, gathering the city's most celebrated chefs and food artisans to transform seasonal local farm foods into culinary masterpieces. Enjoy tastings, wines and food competitions.

Eat, drink, and help end hunger at this year’s New York City Wine & Food Festival, October 11-14. Over 130 events jam four days with the city’s best wine, food and spirits. See your favorite celebrity chefs including Anthony Bourdain, Bobby Flay and Paula Deen as favorites like Meatball Madness and Burger Bash return to raise money for the Food Bank.

Call the kids for dinner. It’s time for the Kids Food Fest, November 3-4. All sized appetites can explore a kitchen playground, take cooking classes and sample lots of good foods.
