The Art of Farm Dining
Take a seat at history’s dining table as the New York State Historical Society celebrates nineteenth century culinary fare. Evening at the Tavern, held Saturdays (11/14, 11/21) at The Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown delights with a four-course candlelit meal, period music and games, and old-fashioned hospitality in the museum's historic Bump Tavern. Each delicious item on your plate is authentic, created according to the research of foods served in rural 19th-century New York taverns.
And why not celebrate Thanksgiving at The Farmers' Museum, (11/27-28) where you can follow up your own celebration by attending the museum’s specially designed program that provides visitors a glimpse into how Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1845.
