New York State is easy to get to from everywhere.  Our "Main Street", the New York State Thruway, provides easy access to many cities and towns along its 641 miles of roadway.  Interstate, state and local highways provide quick access to all other areas of the state.

Commercial air service is available to most major cities.  AMTRAK and commuter rail serve many communities.  Local and intercity bus services are also provided.  Auto ferries cross Long Island Sound, Lake Champlain, the St. Lawrence River and Chautauqua Lake.
